Yediot Aharonot newspaper quoted informed sources that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – who is required to the International Criminal Court – gave the negotiating team in Doha greater flexibility and wider decision -making options in the ongoing talks to reach an agreement with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
This development comes in conjunction with a prospective meeting of the mini -mini council for political and security affairs in Israel, during which the ministers will be briefed on the latest developments related to the ongoing negotiations in the Qatari capital, Doha, to complete a framework for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli media have indicated the possibility of progress on maps that will determine the IDF withdrawal lines as part of the agreement.
The Council will also discuss the issue of establishing the so -called humanitarian city in the southern Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu had ordered the Chief of Staff of the Army Eyal Zamir to prepare an alternative plan for the plan he presented at the last meeting, to be an operation and applicable within a short time.
Differences between the two leaderships
This, and Reuters news agency quoted Israeli officials as saying that the plan to establish what is known as a humanitarian city in southern Gaza was raising differences between the political and security leaders.
The officials said that Netanyahu rejected the plan he had previously requested from the army to establish what was described as a human city, and ordered the preparation of what he called a cheaper and faster alternative.
Reuters also quoted an Israeli military source as saying that the plan is complicated and requires accurate logistical arrangements for infrastructure such as sanitation, hygiene, medical services, water and food supply.

Plans
On the other hand, the Israeli website “Walla” quoted sources that the occupation army is carrying out an engineering operation aimed at enhancing its presence by expanding bases in the buffer zone and building axes.
The site sources said that the Israeli army is designing the field in a way that enables it to impose better control during the ceasefire and beyond.
She added that the army’s engineering activities send a clear message that it is preparing to stay long.
