Why did Washington sanction the Palestinian leaders? | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

The United States accuses the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority to undermine the prospects for peace.

The Trump administration sanctioned members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA), accusing them of having saved peace efforts.

This decision comes while more and more Western governments openly criticize Israel, calling on the country to end the war against Gaza and to evolve towards a two -state solution.

Other countries have also announced their intention to recognize the Palestinian state under certain conditions, including the disarmament of the Reformation of Hamas and the AP.

So what’s behind American sanctions?

Is it a negotiation program for new peace talks, or a sign of more obstacles to come?
