Back in the devastated north of Gaza, thousands of Palestinians are struggling to find water and food. According to the UN, more than 545,000 people have crossed the southern border since last week. In Jabaliya, Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun, humanitarian aid is long overdue.
The streets of Gaza are invaded by mountains of detritus, the fumes that escape it deteriorate the air quality, aggravating the health crisis.
Each day, the inhabitants travel long distances to recover a few liters of water, in an incessant struggle for essential needs.
