Some were wrapped in Ukrainian flags and we saw them speak on the phone with family members.
The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed the exchange, but did not specify the number of people involved.
Zelensky also did not disclose figures, but said that liberated people included injured and seriously injured soldiers, as well as people under the age of 25.
