Israel is now occupying about 35% of the Gaza Strip area of 360 square kilometers, by continuing to expand the buffer zone in the Strip, according to the 12 Israeli channel.

The channel said that “while the international discourse is busy whether Israel will carry out a large -scale wild tulaf in Gaza, the reality on the ground actually indicates that there is a deep and continuous process,” the channel said.

She pointed out that the Israeli army continues to expand the buffer zone, establish military sites, and gradually change the borders of the Palestinian sector, and used what it said was that it was extracted from an analysis of satellite images conducted by Professor Yaqoub Gharb from the Israeli University of Ben Gurion.

According to the data, “it was initially determined by the width of the buffer zone with one kilometer of the green line (what Israel considers its borders), which reduced the area of the sector by about 54 square kilometers (about 15% of its area).”

Today, the region’s width exceeded two kilometers, with a total of about 129 square kilometers, or about 35% of the sector’s area, according to the data.

The channel said that, according to reports, the Israeli army established about 15 large military sites inside the buffer zone, and is currently working to construct 5 military axes that extend cross through the Strip.

The occupation army is spreading in several areas inside the Strip, including the Rafah region (Israeli media)

The channel drew the current deployment map of the army, saying, “The army is spreading in several areas inside the Strip: in the Rafah area, from the Philadelphia axis to the Morge axis, where the city of Rafah is completely located, except for one neighborhood, which is Geneina, under the operational control of the army.”

She added that “the eastern part of the Philadelphia axis (on the Gaza and Egypt border) is also under full operational control, and if the army wants, it can control the entire axis within a few hours.”

In Gaza City, the army is located in the Al -Shujaiya and Al -Tafah strawberry neighborhoods, and in the northern Gaza Strip, it is located in Beit Hanoun and on the axis of the coast, near Beit Lahia, according to the Israeli channel.

It is noteworthy that on May 4, the Israeli Ministerial Council for Security and Political Affairs (cabinet) approved the expansion of the continuous extermination war in Gaza, stressing the determination to occupy the besieged sector.

Israel has been besieging Gaza for 18 years, and about 1.5 million Palestinians out of about 2.2 million in the Strip, are homeless after the extermination war has destroyed their homes, and the sector suffers from famine as a result of the closure of Tel Aviv crossings in the face of humanitarian aid.

With absolute American support, Israel has committed, since October 7, 2023, a collective genocide in Gaza, which left about 173,000 martyrs and wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
