The famous Canadian singer and songwriter Brian Adams took advantage of his music concert in the Irish capital Dublin on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, to express his solidarity with the Palestinian people, and highlight the continuous suffering he is exposed to in the Gaza Strip.
In support of the Palestinian issue, accounts on social media platforms circulated a video showing Adams, addressing the audience: “No to bombing children in Gaza”, a statement that received a great interaction from the attendees who received him with a warm applause.
In the same context, Adams declared his intention to perform his song, “NATIVE SON”, noting that her words reflect the reality currently, as people are extracted from their lands, in an implicit reference to the practices of the Israeli occupation and settlement in the Palestinian territories.
Previous supportive positions
Burian Adams has previous positions in support of peace. In 2014, during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, Adams described what was happening as a “crime against humanity”, criticizing the blockade imposed on the Strip, noting that it led to the deprivation of the population of the most basic elements of life. He then emphasized that he does not hostile to anyone on a religious basis, but rather supports the values of “freedom and justice”.
