The military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al -Falahi, said that the occupation army faces unprecedented recruitment difficulties, in light of the continuation of his military operation in the Gaza Strip.

He added during the military analysis paragraph that Israel is suffering from a severe shortage of manpower that threatens its ability to continue fighting.

Al -Falahi explained that the Israeli army has so far used approximately 83% of the reserve teams, which affected the economy very significantly, noting that the continuation of the war for a long time has greatly exhausted the forces, and led to the grumbling of many reserve soldiers who started refusing to return to the deployment in the Gaza Strip.

The military expert added that the problem of recruiting religious Jews (Haridim) exacerbated the recruitment crisis, as these constitute about 13% of Israeli society by 135 thousand people, “but out of 10,000 were called, only 2-3% of them joined the army,” stressing that the failure of the Israeli government to pass the reserve recruitment law in the Knesset committee increases the complexity of the crisis.

Al -Falahi attributed Israel’s dependence on reserve soldiers – instead of relying only on the regular teams – that the army suffers from a very large shortage of mankind, so it began to take from many electronic units and others and put them in the combat units to compensate for this deficiency.

Draining the occupation army

He also pointed out that the multiplicity of fronts has drained the Israeli army greatly, and that the losses that were suffered in the Gaza Strip led to problems at the psychological and human level and at the level of equipment and mechanisms, and made it a great extent.

Regarding the new military operation launched by the occupation army, which is called “Gideon’s vehicles”, Al -Falahi explained that military teams participating in the attack on the Gaza Strip, 3 of which will work in the southern region (towards Gaza) and two differences in the northern region (towards Syria and Lebanon), noting that the Israeli army bombed nearly 670 goals within the Gaza Strip.

Earlier today, Sunday, the Israeli army said that it started wide land operations in the northern and southern regions of the Gaza Strip, as part of the Gideon vehicle operation, despite the ceasefire negotiations that were described as decisive.

The Israeli army stated that it had bombed 670 targets in the Gaza Strip last week as part of the preparation of the ground operation.

According to the military expert, the current military operation consists of 3 phases: the first of which is the military pressure with an attempt to open a human and political path, and the second is an air and ground bombing to force civilians to forced displacement with the provision of humanitarian aid, while the third stage is the invasion and survival, that is, a land entry to control the land and the destruction of Hamas capabilities and tunnels and staying there.

Al -Falahi pointed out that the transition from the strategy of the release of prisoners to the strategy of the long -term occupation indicates a change in the Israeli priorities, and reflects a contradiction between the statements of the occupation leaders about the possibility of achieving the goals of eliminating the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and returning the prisoners together.
