French President Emmanuel Macron considered that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is an unacceptable and horrific human tragedy and must be stopped, while the British delegate to the United Nations said that tons of food rot on the Gaza border instead of delivering it to those who starved.

Macron said -in an interview with the French TV -1 channel -that the prohibition of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to enter aid to Gaza is shameful, and demanded pressure on Israel and reconsideration of partnership agreements between them and the European Union.

For his part, the French delegate to the United Nations, Jerome Bonavont, condemned the planned extension of the Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip, and he said. His country opposes the mechanism of distributing aid proposed by Israel, and we call on it to lift obstacles to humanitarian supplies and the activity of relief workers in Gaza immediately.

The French delegate considered that the Israeli mechanism to introduce aid to Gaza is inconsistent with international law and does not meet the needs, stressing that Israel’s violations of international law will not contribute to its security and endanger the region.

The British delegate to the United Nations Barbara Woodward also confirmed her country’s refusal to support any aid mechanism in Gaza that seeks to achieve political or military goals.

The British delegate called on Israel to cooperate with the United Nations to resume the delivery of aid to Gaza, noting that the tons of food rot on the Gaza border instead of delivering it to those who are starving.

The Undersecretary of the Secretary -General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fleischer, also considered that the method of distributing aid in Gaza that Israel has set is not the solution, considering that the continuation of the siege of Gaza is bad and the Israeli ministers are proud of that.

The UN official said that Israel imposes inhumane conditions on civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories.
