At the Karameh border crossing between Jordan and Israel, a Jordanian truck driver named Maher Diab Hussein Al-Jazi (39 years old) opened fire on three Israeli border security personnel, killing them instantly.

He used a GTP 9C pistol to carry out the attack. He was killed in an exchange of fire with Israeli security forces.

According to a report prepared for Tel Aviv Tribune by Walid Al-Attar, the incident led to the closure of the King Hussein Bridge on both the Jordanian and Israeli sides until further notice, with tightening inspection procedures for truck drivers.
