At least 65 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza, according to medical sources, while the Israeli army sent tanks to Deir El-Balah areas in the center of Gaza for the first time since Israel began its assault on the besieged territory in October 2023.

Israel launched the ground offensive on the southern and east regions on Monday on Monday, which is filled with displaced Palestinians, one day after its soldiers issued a forced travel order for residents of the regions, forcing thousands of people to flee to the west to the Mediterranean coast and the South in Khan Younis.

The bombing of tanks in the region struck houses and mosques, killing at least three Palestinians and injuring several, reported the reuters news agency, citing local doctors.

Reporting Deir El-Balah, Tareq Abu Azzoum of Tel Aviv Tribune said that the shots were audible when the Israeli tanks were rolled in the region on Monday morning.

“We can see that the whole city is under Israeli attack,” he said. “We failed to sleep last night.”

“There was an Israeli bombardment in progress. Israeli jets, tanks and naval gunboats continue to hit several residential areas. Three other squares were destroyed in the city, then residential houses were flattened. ”

He said that many Deir El-Balah residents fled with donkey trucks and other modes of transport.

The United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said that two UN guest houses in the city had been “struck, although the parties were informed of the locations of the UN premises, which are inviolable. These locations – as with all civil sites – must be protected, whatever the evacuation controls. ”

The World Health Organization said that his staff residence and his main warehouse in Deir El-Balah had been attacked on Monday.

Two employees and two family members were arrested by the Israeli army, said that director general Tedros Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, adding that three had been released later while a staff member remained in detention.

Doctors Without Borders, known by its French initials MSF, says that the threat of forced displacement which preceded the Israeli army invasion of Deir El-Balah has already moved to 80,000 Palestinians.

The Qassam brigades, the Hamas armed wing, said it had an ambush by invading Israeli troops in Deir El-Balah in the center of Gaza.

The fighters exploded a “powerful terrestrial mine” in the Umm Dhahir region south of the city while an advanced Merkava reservoir, he said in a short press release. It is not known if there have been victims.

Israel intensifies attacks

Medical sources have told Tel Aviv Tribune that at least 65 people were killed in Israeli attacks on Monday, including 11 assistance seekers.

In Khan Younis in southern Gaza, an Israeli air strike killed at least five people, including a husband and a woman and their two children in a tent, said doctors.

Five other Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombardment separated in Jabalia al-Balad to the north.

Earlier, Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that his teams had recovered a person’s body and evacuated three wounded after an Israeli artillery strike from the nearby Jabalia al-Nazla region.

Drone strikes were reported in Gaza City, which led to victims, a source from the Al-Shifa hospital told Tel Aviv Tribune Arabic.

The day before, at least 134 people were killed and 1,155 injured by Israeli forces, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. At least 59,029 people in Gaza have been killed since the start of the war.

Sunday, the Gaza health authorities pointed out that at least 19 people had died of hunger in one day, stressing the desperate situation under the Israeli aid blockade.

In an interview with Tel Aviv Tribune, the Palestine representative of the World Food Program, Antoine Renard, said that the United Nations agency had warned of the “weeks” that the Palestinians of Gaza faced famine.

“You have a level of despair that people are ready to risk their lives just to reach the assistance that really arrives in Gaza,” said Renard from the occupied East Jerusalem.

“(There is a) number of people who are argued by people confronted with malnutrition, and we can really see that the situation really reaches levels that we have never seen before.”

UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, said that it received “desperate famine messages” from the interior of Gaza, including its staff, while humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate.

“The suffering in Gaza is artificial and must be stopped. Lift the seat and leave the help safely and on a large scale,” said UNRWA in a statement published on X.

Amjad Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGO network, told Tel Aviv Tribune on Monday that 900,000 children knew various degrees of malnutrition in Gaza.

Twenty-five countries, including the United Kingdom, France and other European nations, have published a joint declaration saying that the war in Gaza “must end now” and that Israel must comply with international law.

The foreign ministers of the 25 countries, including Australia, Canada and Japan, said that “the suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached new depths”, and they condemned “food dripping aid and the inhuman murder of civilians, including children, seeking to meet their most fundamental needs of water and food”.

“The Israeli government aid delivery model is dangerous, feeds instability and deprives gas dignity,” the statement said.

“The refusal of the Israeli Government of Humanitarian Aid essential to the civilian population is unacceptable. Israel must comply with its obligations under international humanitarian law,” he said.
