Yedioth Ahronoth: Israeli army leadership accuses Netanyahu of evasion in West Bank crisis | Politics

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth quoted senior officers in the Israeli army warning that the situation in the West Bank is on the verge of a major explosion.

These officers pointed out that the army leadership accuses Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ministers of evasion and not taking the necessary decisions to prevent escalation.

According to the newspaper, the officers believe that ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich are trying to ignite a war in the West Bank, and warned that Ben-Gvir’s behavior on the Temple Mount will not only inflame the situation in the West Bank, but in the entire Arab world.

The newspaper reported that a large number of officers are considering resigning due to the policies of dealing with the West Bank, and they expressed their fears of what they described as a “mass attack by Palestinians on Israeli settlements in the West Bank.”
