World leaders at a conference on humanitarian aid to Gaza called on Israel and Hamas to support a ceasefire proposal approved at the UN Security Council, saying it is the best way to relieve suffering. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had told him he was determined to get the proposal across the finish line.
