The American envoy to the region, Steve Witkeov, said that the nuclear Iran will be an existential threat to Israel, and that it should never be allowed to fertilize uranium or develop a nuclear capacity in any way.

The newspaper “Yediot Aharonot” quoted Witkeov that he discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the phone, the growing tension in the Middle East, stressing that Tehran has a large amount of missiles, which represents an existential threat to America, the world and the Gulf.

For his part, Axius quoted a US official as saying that Witkeov will meet Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqji in the Omani capital, Muscat, on Sunday to discuss the Iranian response regarding nuclear talks.

The developments were accelerated since yesterday, Wednesday, after the tension between Washington and Tehran, which threatened to strike American bases in the region if it was exposed to American or Israeli military action.

The Washington Post quoted a diplomat in the region that America is watching “the situation with concern and we believe that it is more dangerous than ever,” and also quoted sources that “the concern of US intelligence officials is escalating for fear that Israel beat Iran without Washington’s approval.”
