Will the occupation operations extend to other areas in the West Bank? Al-Falahi answers | News

Military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, did not rule out that the current Israeli military operation in the occupied West Bank would extend to new areas after the completion of the areas currently witnessing military operations.

Al-Falahi explained – during his analysis of the military scene in the West Bank – that the current operations include 3 main areas, most of which are in the northern West Bank: Jenin and its camp, Tulkarm and its camp, in addition to the Hebron area to the south, and before that in Tubas and the Far’a camp.

He pointed out that the occupation carries out raids and incursions from time to time, but its operations are not at a certain pace, but rather at an increasing pace that then decreases before returning again.

He expected that the Israeli operation in the current areas would continue for additional days, and might target other areas such as Nablus and Qalqilya after the completion of the areas subject to the current military operations.

Al-Falahi referred to the map drawn by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his explanation of the Philadelphi Corridor, in which the West Bank completely disappeared, which indicates that the current military operation has larger dimensions than what the occupation is talking about regarding a military infrastructure for the resistance.

He reviewed the systematic bulldozing of the dilapidated infrastructure that is taking place at full speed in all areas, describing what is happening as a punishment for the popular incubator of the resistance, especially with the use of drones, incursions, arrests, and the bombing of houses.

The strategic expert believes that the Israeli project is not limited to the Gaza Strip only, but rather aims to control all territories, including the West Bank, calling on the leaders of the Palestinian Authority to sense the imminent danger.

He renewed his talk about the big difference in the capabilities of the resistance between Gaza and the West Bank, as there is no infrastructure that the factions in the West Bank can rely on compared to the Gaza Strip, or even what happened in the Israeli military operation “Defensive Shield” more than two decades ago.

Nine days ago, the occupation forces began a large-scale operation in the northern West Bank under the pretext of dismantling resistance cells. Since then, resistance fighters have been confronting them with explosive devices and bullets, killing and wounding a number of its soldiers.
