The aid resolution was watered down to avoid a US veto and omits the call for an end to hostilities.

The United Nations Security Council adopted a motion on the war against Gaza.

This comes after two months of Israeli attacks that have killed more than 20,000 Palestinians.

The resolution – weakened by US pressure – calls for more aid but does not ask Israel to stop its bombing.

So, will this have an impact?
