The Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court requests arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders.

In more than seven months of war, more than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed and large parts of the Gaza Strip destroyed.

The International Criminal Court’s top prosecutor says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant bear criminal responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan also requested arrest warrants for three Hamas leaders in connection with the Palestinian group’s attack on Israel on October 7.

So what does this mean for the devastating war on Gaza?

And what impact does international legal pressure on Israel have on the realities on the ground?
