Will Biden reconsider his unconditional support for Israel? | Israel’s war against Gaza

Faced with a rebellion within his party and famine in Gaza, will the Biden administration consider a new approach towards Israel?

US policy toward Israel “seems inconsistent because it is inconsistent,” says Matt Duss, a former adviser to Senator Bernie Sanders, and that makes the United States look “irresponsible and weak.”

Duss tells host Steve Clemons that Israel is violating U.S. law by using U.S.-supplied weapons while preventing humanitarian aid. But President Joe Biden “simply took the tools of leverage off the table.”

Duss, executive vice president of the Center for International Policy, says there is still no indication that the Abandon Biden movement within the Democratic Party, nor Israel’s war crimes, will lead to a change in course in the near future.
