The World Health Organization (WHO) announced the launch of the polio vaccination campaign for children in Gaza on September 1. It plans to vaccinate 640,000 children under the age of ten. The urgent campaign comes after a 10-month-old boy was confirmed to have contracted polio, the first case reported in Gaza in 25 years.
