White House: The war on Gaza has become brutal and Trump wants to stop it news

|

White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said President Donald Trump wants to stop killing in Gaza, stressing that ending the war is a priority for him.

Levitte – in a press briefing yesterday evening, added that the war on Gaza has become very brutal in light of the increasing number of deaths in recent days.

She added that President Trump believes that the war in Gaza has affected, and that the fighting has become more bloody in recent days.

She also said that the president wants to negotiate the ceasefire, and to release the “hostages” (Israelis) and that he wants to enter aid to Gaza in a safe way.

Levitt said President Trump has a good relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but was surprised by the bombing of Syria and the church bombing in Gaza.

Trump had recently received Netanyahu at the White House, and then repeatedly spoke about the possibility of reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Two weeks ago, indirect negotiations are taking place between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) by Qatari, Egyptian and American mediation, and Israeli media have spoken the past two days about progress that may lead to an agreement.

The Israeli Prime Minister faces accusations of prolonging the war for political reasons, as he refuses to date not to resume the war after a possible truce for 60 days.
