No explanation yet as to why the occupying army took down a video of X and re-posted a shorter, edited version the next day.
It has been nearly five days since the Israeli military deleted a social media post claiming that Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital had been used as a control and command center by Hamas before its occupation.
The army deleted the original message on Wednesday and replaced it with a shorter version republished with a change the next day. No explanation for the deletion of the message was given by the Israeli army.
“We are going to make a single video, a single take, without editing, of all the evidence that we just found in this building of the al-Shifa hospital,” said army spokesman Jonathan Conricus, at the beginning of both versions of the report. video.
However, it is clearly visible that the footage was edited in the frame which is six minutes and 26 seconds into the newer and shorter version of the video.
In the video, Conricus explains to viewers what the Israeli military considers to be evidence of the presence of Hamas fighters in Gaza’s largest health facility, including combat equipment and weapons.

However, careful analysis of the contents of the plastic bags shows that what the Israeli army describes as “hospital equipment” are in reality bandages and ointments.
Their presence at the hospital, according to the Israeli army spokesperson, makes Gaza’s urgent need for medical supplies and equipment illusory. He also shows viewers a laptop as well as some CDs, claiming they contain valuable information.

TV reports reveal other problems
Television images published by the BBC and Fox News Journalists, embedded with the Israeli army in Gaza, reveal further inconsistencies, documenting how the scene at the hospital was apparently altered.
The journalists were escorted to the facility’s MRI room and filmed what they said was evidence of the presence of Hamas fighters.
In their videos, two AK-47 rifles can be seen at the scene – instead of the single AK-47 in the original video shared by the Israeli army.

In a statement reported by Israeli national media, the army denied allegations that it manipulated the scene in al-Shifa.
