Hamas and Israel extended the initial four-day truce by two days.

Israel and Hamas agreed to extend the four-day truce in Gaza by two days, after Hamas pledged to release more Israeli prisoners in exchange for Israel releasing more Palestinian prisoners.

For the people of Gaza, this means more relief from the bombing and an increase in humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

So what happens next? What would both sides have to give up to achieve a longer peace?

Or will Israel simply return to war?
