The Iranian authorities announced the arrest of a large number of those who called “customers” with the Israeli Mossad, in light of the increasing attacks with small arrests from inside the country on prominent scientific figures and Iranian facilities.
Israel has worked on this file for a long time – according to the director of the island’s office in Tehran Abdel Qader Fayez – especially that Iran is a sprawling country that extends over a wide geographical area, and has borders with many neighboring countries.
According to Fayez, these agents are “Iranians, and they are not Israelis”, pointing out that their number should not necessarily be large, given that Iran is a country whose population is close to 100 million.
