Sanaa- In a new military development, the Ansar Allah group (Al -Houthi) announced, last Sunday, the escalation of its military operations on Israel, by launching the “fourth stage of the blockade of the Israeli enemy.”
The military spokesman for Ansar Allah Yahya Sari said that the “fourth stage” launched by the group includes “targeting all ships belonging to any company that deals with the ports of the enemy, and anywhere that can be reached.” He added that companies that ignore warnings will be attacked, regardless of their destination or nationality.
For his part, the leader of the Houthi coastal defense forces, Muhammad al -Qadri, stressed, in a statement published, on Tuesday, the “September 26” website, a spokesman for the group’s Ministry of Defense, that the “fourth stage” of the escalation “will have great surprises that deter Israel and America.”
“A sharp stage”
Questions are raised about the effects of the new Houthi escalation on Israel and the navigation movement in the Red Sea, and this is on the situation in Yemen.
Fears of this reflection are also raised on the state of calm between America and the Yemeni Ansar Allah group that has continued since last May when it announced an agreement to stop the group’s attacks on American ships in the Red Sea in exchange for stopping Washington’s raids on Yemen.

David added to Al -Jazeera Net, that the announcement of the launch of the fourth stage of escalation comes with a more severe tone than before, and after an accurate information monitoring of companies that deal with Israel, including Arab and Islamic.
He considered that Ansar Allah announces this stage not to overlook and enter into the targeting circle, which does not rule out that companies are related to Arab or Islamic countries such as Türkiye and Egypt in it. He warned that this stage has no exception to anyone, including American ships and others, whatever their nationality.
He pointed out that the message that reached most of the international companies dealing with Israel, that it will find themselves targeted if they cross from the Bab al -Mandab and the Red Sea, and here these companies become in front of two options:
- The first: Continuing to deal with the port of Haifa, and this will display its ships in the Red Sea to dump.
- The second: stop sailing towards Haifa, and here Yemen has succeeded in imposing a sea blockade on the most famous Zionist ports.
On the reasons for these attacks and their future, David added, “All these operations come within the framework of the attempt of Ansar Allah to break the Zionist siege on the Gaza Strip, and for this they repeatedly assert that the operations will stop when the Israeli aggression and siege stops on Gaza.”

Since the start of the pro -Gaza operations in October 2023, the Houthis have carried out attacks using 1679 between missiles, drones and warships, quoting a speech by the leader of the group, Abdul Malik Al -Houthi, last Thursday evening.

Regarding the group’s preparations for an Israeli reaction, Al -Jaberni believes that the Houthis have been ready for a while for a major Israeli attack, and they are preparing for it, but the group’s leader prefers that the targeting comes in the context of action, not to wait until the other side begins.
He pointed out that with this approach, Houthi wants to guarantee the readiness of his forces and not to relax, and we saw him taking the same approach before the American operation last March. He added, “By monitoring the behavior of the Houthis and their way of thinking, we find that whenever they monitor indications of their close targeting, they initiate a military action on their part.”
The importance of parity
Given that Al -Houthi does not have equivalent weapons for what Israel possesses, there are those who believe that the new stage of the group’s escalation may be limited influencing.
In the context, the Yemeni political researcher Abdel Salam Qaid believes that the reasons for the escalation of the Houthis this time against Israel are not different from the previous one, as they say that they attack Israel in support of Gaza, and they link any stoppage of their attacks by stopping the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian sector.
In his speech to Al -Jazeera Net, a leader believes that the impact of this escalation will be limited, because there are no military capabilities for Ansar Allah that enables them to cause significant damage to the Israeli army or infrastructure and vital installations in occupied Palestine, such as the damages left by Iranian missiles during the past 12 -day war.
He pointed out that the Houthis are launching only one missile in every attack that can be easily interceptor, because if they want to cause great damage to Israel, this requires them to launch a large number of missiles and drones coinciding with confusion of the Israeli air defense, but attacks of this type will quickly drain their stocks of missiles, because they are limited.
Regarding the reactions of Israel and the extent of the Houthis’ willingness to it, the researcher considers that the previous developments have proven that Israel needs field intelligence to be its attacks against the Houthis effective, but now it deals with an enemy that feels harm and does not see it, so she responds by bombing civilian facilities that do not constitute great harm to the Houthis.
He pointed out that the Israeli attacks on the Houthis will not be effective unless there are intelligence circumstances or serious cooperation with this with America or others, to make influential strikes.
