What do the keffiyeh, watermelon and other Palestinian symbols mean? | Israeli-Palestinian conflict News

In hundreds of cities around the world, protesters gathered in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, sporting the iconic black and white Palestinian headdress known as a keffiyeh.

Among them, protesters carry large keys, a cartoon depicting a child with his back turned, and even an image of a watermelon 🍉, each representing a different way of supporting the Palestinian cause.
