During a new visit to the Middle East, the US Secretary of State gathered support from regional actors.

The US Secretary of State has completed his latest visit to the Middle East, with Cairo as his final stop.

This is the fourth time that Antony Blinken has visited the region since Israel began its attack on Gaza more than three months ago.

He says the conflict must end quickly and called on regional leaders to help build a stable post-war order.

But why isn’t US President Joe Biden’s administration trying to achieve a ceasefire first?
