What are the resistance’s messages regarding its increasing operations in northern Gaza? What is the significance of timing? | news

Military expert Brigadier General Elias Hanna believed that the increasing resistance operations in the northern Gaza Strip carry political and military messages, in addition to that they come at an important time as the military operation there enters its 100th day.

Speaking to Tel Aviv Tribune, Hanna said that the resistance sent an important message that its operations against the Israeli occupation army in various areas of northern Gaza are still continuing, referring to Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun.

The military expert expressed his conviction that the timing of the operations is linked to the progress of the ongoing negotiations in Qatar regarding a ceasefire, and the conclusion of a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

According to Hanna, the resistance also sent a political and military message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu entitled “The difficulty of resuming the war after the ceasefire,” which is being negotiated in the Qatari capital.

Yesterday, Saturday, the occupation army acknowledged the killing of 4 soldiers from the Nahal Brigade and the serious wounding of an officer and a soldier as a result of the detonation of a high-explosive device in Beit Hanoun, while settler platforms reported that 7 Israeli soldiers were killed on Saturday, and about 30 others were injured.

In turn, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported today, Sunday, that 8 soldiers from the Givati Brigade were injured – including 3 in serious condition – as a result of the explosion of an explosive device in a building in Jabalia the day before Friday, indicating that the army kept the incident secret.

The military expert concluded that the resistance is fighting within an equation it imposed on the ground, based on waging a continuous war of attrition, while the occupation army was unable to change it despite the scale of killing and destruction and its great military capabilities.

He reiterated that the occupation army faces three dilemmas in Gaza, as time is not playing in its favor as part of its effort to resolve the war, in addition to incurring great human and material losses, as well as the resistance’s ability to reconstitute and rehabilitate itself after the blows it suffered.

The military expert cited the statements of occupation army spokesman Daniel Hagari last June, when he said that Hamas is an idea that cannot be eliminated.

Israel failed to achieve the war goals set by the Netanyahu government, such as eliminating Hamas, its military arm, and its governmental authority, and recovering detained prisoners.

It is noteworthy that 50 Israeli soldiers have been killed, including 11 in Beit Hanoun, since the start of the last operation in the northern Gaza Strip, according to Israeli Channel 13, which also indicated that 400 soldiers have been killed since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip in late October 2023.
