The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation broadcast scenes filmed by an Israeli drone, showing the Israeli occupation forces forcing hundreds of families in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, to leave their homes and move south.

For 17 days, the occupation army has continued its genocide in the northern Gaza Strip, through intense air and artillery bombardment and bombing of homes, shelter centers and water wells, amid a tight siege during which the entry of food, water, fuel and medicine is prevented.

Human Rights Watch said that the Israeli army’s use of forced displacement and starvation as a weapon of war in the Gaza Strip amounts to war crimes. The organization stated in its statement – today, Friday – that the Israeli evacuation orders included 85% of the area of the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli army ordered the 400,000 residents of northern Gaza to leave their homes since the beginning of this October.

Human Rights Watch explained that these actions constitute a violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits the forced transfer of civilian populations without dire military necessity. Temporary evacuation is permitted in cases of extreme necessity to protect civilians, but this must be followed by providing them with protection and assistance, and ensuring their return to their homes after the end of military operations.
