Al -Qadisiyah, the rival in the Saudi Professional League – Monday, has announced the contract with striker Matteo Ritui from Atlanta.
Al -Qadisiyah wrote on the “X” social networking platform “for the ranks of Al -Qadisiyah .. He arrived!
The club posted on the same platform a video clip showing the player in the Saudi club shirt and saying, “I am here. I am Qudsawi.”
The 26 -year -old joined Atlanta last August. During the last season, the Italian player of Argentine origin scored 28 goals and played 9 assists in 49 games he played in all competitions with Atlanta.
The player won the Italian league’s top scorer award last season with 25 goals, helped his team to occupy third place with 74 points, 8 points behind Napoli.
Al-Qadisiyah announced this month the departure of his Gabonese striker Pierre-Erik Obamyang from the team.
Aubameyang, 36, joined Al -Qadisiyah ranks from Olympic Marseille last year and played with the team 36 games in all competitions, in which he scored 21 goals and made three others.
The Gabonese international was one of the most prominent players who contributed to the brilliance of Al -Qadisiyah at the local level and occupied his fourth place in the league last season.
Al -Qadisiyah is preparing to participate in the Saudi Super Cup for the first time.
