The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), broadcast today, Friday, the latest recordings of the six Israeli prisoners whose bodies the occupation army announced it had recovered early this month inside a tunnel in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
The slain Israeli prisoner, Almog Sarousi, said that the Israeli government, army and security services failed in the operations to liberate the prisoners during the ground invasion, stressing that these attempts almost led to his death.
Sarousi, 27, pointed out that he and the rest of the prisoners held in Gaza were targets of Israeli strikes, demanding the return of all detainees “without losing a single hair on our heads,” he said.
The prisoner held Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, the army and the rest of the security services responsible for his arrest, that of his wife and his friends at the concert in the Re’im area in the Gaza Strip on October 7.
Sarousi touched on the difficult conditions that prisoners are living in Gaza, saying, “There is no food, no water, no electricity.” He added, “You neglected us because we asked for help from you and you said help yourselves and there is no one to save you, and this led to our capture.”
He also sent an emotional message to his family, asking them to be strong and work to release him as soon as possible, before concluding by saying, “Be strong, go out to the streets and demonstrate, for you are our hope and we trust you.”
Messages
Since last Monday, Al-Qassam began broadcasting the last messages of the six Israeli prisoners, starting with prisoner Idan Yerushalmi, then Uri Danino, in addition to prisoners Alexander Lubnov and Carmel Gat, before broadcasting a fifth message from prisoner Hersh Goldberg Paulin, who holds both Israeli and American citizenship.
All the recordings held the Israeli government, led by Netanyahu, and the security and military services responsible for what happened on October 7, 2023, and called on all prisoners to expedite the conclusion of an exchange deal and continue the popular demonstrations demanding their return alive.
Last Sunday, Al-Qassam had broadcast a message to the Israeli society stating that “Netanyahu chose the Philadelphi Corridor at the expense of liberating your prisoners,” noting that these prisoners were alive but have become a thing of the past, and stressing that Netanyahu is creating dozens of Ron Arads.
On April 23, Qassam spokesman Abu Obeida said that “the Ron Arad scenario may be the most likely to be repeated with the enemy’s prisoners in Gaza,” stressing that “the so-called military pressure will only push us to stand firm in our positions and preserve the rights of our people and not relinquish them.”
