A video clip circulated by Israeli websites showed a number of Israeli occupation soldiers desecrating one of the destroyed mosques in the Gaza Strip.
These sites said that the Israeli soldier gave a religious lesson from the Torah inside the mosque, while the video shows the rest of the soldiers lying on the side of the mosque, whose walls and facilities were severely damaged as a result of the Israeli bombing.
A few days ago, a video spread on social media platforms of occupation soldiers performing a Talmudic prayer on the occasion of what they call “Hanukkah” over loudspeakers in one of Jenin’s mosques in the West Bank.
Israeli soldiers storm the Jenin camp mosque and use earphones to perform the “Listen, O Israel” prayer.
It is a prayer among the Jews, consisting of two words at the beginning of a section of the Torah. It is also known as “Shema,” meaning listen, and it serves as the focus of the morning and evening prayers. Since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, the occupation has completely destroyed more than 100 mosques, including the historic Omari Mosque, and 192 mosques and 3 churches partially, according to the government media office in the Gaza Strip, in addition to the destruction and bulldozing of several Cemeteries.
According to preliminary documentation by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, dozens of mosques were completely or partially destroyed as a result of violent Israeli air strikes in all areas of the Gaza Strip, including more than 50 mosques that were turned into rubble, and there are mosques of archaeological and historical value that were destroyed to varying degrees.
