Pictures circulated on social media platforms on Sunday showed an Israeli military vehicle running over the body of an elderly Palestinian man who was killed by the occupation army’s bullets in the eastern neighborhood of the city of Jenin, north of the West Bank, last Friday evening.
According to Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent Mohammed Al-Atrash, Jenin residents were able to publish a video clip showing the occupation vehicles running over an eighty-year-old man, three days after the incident due to the internet being cut off.
Al-Atrash explained that the elderly Palestinian man suffers from a hearing problem, and that the occupation soldiers asked him to stop, but he did not hear them, so they fired a hail of bullets at him, noting that he fell to the ground and was left bleeding until the military vehicles advanced to run him over.
He pointed out that the ambulance crews were unable to reach the body of the martyr, because the occupation imposed a strict siege on the eastern neighborhood of Jenin.
Clashes continue between Palestinian resistance fighters and occupation forces in the northern West Bank, especially in Jenin, where the Israeli army continues its extensive operation in the area for the fifth consecutive day.
The occupation army began its extensive operation in the West Bank at dawn last Wednesday under heavy air force cover, and the Israeli media described the attack as the largest of its kind since Operation Defensive Shield in 2002.
