The Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – showed scenes that it said showed its fighters targeting soldiers and vehicles of the Israeli occupation in the Al-Taqaddum axis in the Shaboura camp in the center of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
One of the Qassam fighters spoke in the video broadcast by Tel Aviv Tribune, saying: “The enemy forces will be targeted within the area of responsibility, and all combat nodes will deal with the enemy forces penetrating into the Al-Shaboura area, Al-Sikka Street.”
He added, “The enemy forces will be lured and dealt with directly, and then we will move to a plan to target reinforcements that will come to the Shaboura area to rescue the enemy forces that were ambushed.”
While the scenes showed one of the fighters targeting an Israeli vehicle from a close range, another fighter was saying in a loud voice, “The enemy soldiers fled into the alleys of the camp and finished off a number of them.”
The scenes also included footage of Israeli occupation vehicles being targeted from different angles.
The Al-Qassam Brigades had previously announced that they had carried out a complex ambush in which they targeted two Merkava tanks and two “Eitan” vehicles with “Al-Yassin 105” missiles, and that they had eliminated occupation soldiers from zero distance in the Shaboura camp in Rafah.
