The Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – showed scenes from the implementation of a complex operation targeting the Israeli occupation forces penetrating east of the Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The scenes showed a series of shots, which began with targeting a building in which an engineering force was holed up, then hitting a Merkava tank with an “Al-Yassin 105” anti-armor shell, until the moment the minefield was detonated by Israeli force.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s camera had monitored the moment of the large explosion that rocked the east of the Maghazi camp, as Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent Elias Karam was speaking live from the Gaza Strip at the time of the explosion, as the scenes showed clouds of smoke resulting from the explosion.
Earlier, Al-Qassam said that it targeted a house east of Al-Maghazi camp in which an Israeli force was holed up, which led to the explosion of the ammunition it was in possession of.
It added that it detonated a minefield in another Israeli force that was in the same place, causing its members to be killed or wounded.
Al-Qassam also destroyed a Merkava tank that was securing the force holed up in the house east of the Maghazi camp with an anti-armor shell.
Yesterday, Monday, a Palestinian resistance operation in the Maghazi camp resulted in the killing of 21 Israeli soldiers. The occupation army announced it Tuesday morning, describing it as “the most difficult since the beginning of the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip on October 27 last year.”
