Watch – A sad reception for Eid al-Adha in Jerusalem Policy

Occupied Jerusalem- The city of Jerusalem and the faces of its residents are absent from the usual signs of joy to welcome Eid al-Adha. The security and economic situation is bad, amid a siege that the city is suffering from that prevents it from communicating with the West Bank.

Tel Aviv Tribune Net asked some Jerusalemites with two questions: What is most on your mind as Eid approaches? How did Israeli measures and the war affect your reception of him?

Between those who call for limiting the Eid to religious rituals, and others who reject joy and are overcome by crying, the opinions of Jerusalemites were divided during interviews with Tel Aviv Tribune Net in the Holy City.

The devastating occupation war on Gaza, the military siege that Jerusalem is experiencing, which prevents West Bank Palestinians from reaching the city, and the high unemployment, are all concerns with which Jerusalemites greet the Eid.

Not only that, but the nation’s issues also concerned them, specifically Sudan, where a young Jerusalemite man wished that the war in Gaza and Sudan would end so that people could enjoy security.
