The Hague- Supporters of the Palestinian cause and defenders of the rights of the people of the Gaza Strip did not hesitate to come to the Dutch city of The Hague to express their solidarity and protest against the Israeli occupation aggression that has been ongoing for more than 3 months.
With chants of “Stop genocide,” “Ceasefire now,” and “Palestine will be free,” hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the International Court of Justice yesterday, Thursday and today, to follow the hearings in the genocide case brought by South Africa against Israel.
While the presence supporting Israel – less than 100 meters away – appeared faint in front of the doors of the Peace Palace in The Hague, and their numbers did not exceed 30 people under tight security protection.

The demonstrators followed the proceedings of the hearings on large screens, carrying Palestinian flags, chanting slogans of solidarity with the Palestinian people and lighting red and green smoke bombs.
They also expressed their sincere thanks for the historic step taken by South Africa and the lawsuit that was described as “strong and supported by documented evidence” to put the Israeli government and its army in the dock before the international community.
A number of participants in the protest spoke to the audience to salute the efforts of the legal team that took over the case brought before the Court of Justice and to denounce the occupation’s bombing and stop the entry of humanitarian aid, chanting the slogan “Yama, do not cry, Palestine will not die.”
It is noteworthy that the Dutch riot control company separated supporters of Palestine and Israel throughout the morning, indicating that no serious clashes occurred between the two sides.
Yesterday, Thursday, demonstrators told Tel Aviv Tribune Net that an Israeli journalist entered inside them to take pictures and video clips before the police intervened to remove him to avoid any altercations between the two parties.
