The children of Gaza suffer greatly during the recurring wars and conflicts that the Strip is witnessing. This suffering manifests itself in several key aspects, with children in Gaza being exposed to serious physical injuries as a result of attacks and airstrikes. In addition to physical injuries, many children suffer from psychological trauma as a result of scenes of destruction and death, such as post-traumatic stress disorder.

Earlier, journalist Anas Al-Sharif published what the children of Gaza were suffering as a result of the Israeli bombing, and documented the first moments of civil defense personnel trying, with primitive means and despite the Israeli siege, to rescue a number of children after the Israeli occupation forces targeted a residential square in the Beit Lahia project in the northern Gaza Strip.

As a result of the blockade, Gaza suffers from a severe shortage of medicines and medical equipment. This severely affects children, especially those suffering from chronic diseases or injuries that require specialized care.
Many children in Gaza also live in extreme poverty, which leads to great suffering from malnutrition. Many of them depend on humanitarian aid in order to secure their daily food, which does not reach them due to the closure of all crossings, and this is what makes children sick due to hunger, such as the child Atef Tayeh, who was not more than 5 months old, whose pictures were published and who was suffering silently from malnutrition, his small body. Unable to bear the effects of the siege that is suffocating Gaza.
The ongoing Israeli war has led to the destruction of the homes of the people of the Gaza Strip, forcing many children and their families to live in shelter centers or in unstable conditions, and the lack of simple life necessities, forcing children to search for food and drink. Photographer journalist Yahya Al-Awaida published pictures showing the suffering of children. Gaza.
According to reports there, more than 5,000 patients from Gaza are in urgent need of treatment abroad, but they have been prevented from traveling due to restrictions imposed by the occupier, thus preventing patients from accessing medical care that is not available in Gaza. Because of these restrictions, many patients, including those with life-threatening conditions, face delays or outright denials in obtaining permission to travel for medical care. This led to the deterioration of their health condition, and the death of many sick children while waiting for travel permits.
For more than two weeks, the Israeli army has intensified its massacres and crimes of genocide against the Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip, especially in the Jabalia camp, where it kills, destroys and targets civilians and shelters for displaced persons, amid international silence.
On October 5, the Israeli army began unprecedented bombing operations on the camp, the town of Jabalia, and large areas in the northern Gaza Strip, before announcing the next day the start of the invasion of those areas, under the pretext of “preventing the Hamas movement from regaining its power in the region,” while Palestinians say Israel wants to occupy the area and displace its residents.
