An American official told the island that the United States is still not concerned with direct military involvement alongside Israel in targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, two days after the confrontation between Israel and Iran and the exchange of bombing.
The official added that what the United States hopes is Iran’s return to the negotiating table and peace.
Meanwhile, the US State Department urged the American citizens to leave Iran immediately.
She called on American citizens who are unable to leave Iran to prepare for long periods of staying in their places.
She explained that “our government cannot ensure the safety of Americans wishing to leave Iran through the available options and we advise our nationals in Iran to leave if they believe, that it is better to do so only.”
Israel began at dawn on Friday, with the implicit support of the United States, a massive attack on Iran with dozens of fighters, called the “rising lion”, during which nuclear facilities and missile bases were bombed in different regions and assassinated prominent military leaders and nuclear scientists.
The Israeli army said that the attack is proactive and came under the political levels, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – who is required for the International Criminal Court for committing genocide in Gaza – announced that the unprecedented operation aims to hit the Iranian nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile factories, and many other military capabilities.
On the same evening, Iran began to respond to the attack with a series of ballistic missile strikes and drones, killing and dozens of injured, as well as major material damage that affected buildings and vehicles.
