Washington distributes a revised draft resolution on the new ceasefire proposal News

On Sunday evening, the United States distributed an amended draft resolution for the second time in the UN Security Council regarding the new proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The amended US resolution welcomes the ceasefire proposal announced on May 31 and accepted by Israel, calls on the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to accept it, and urges both parties to implement it in full without delay or conditions.

The draft resolution also emphasizes the importance of the two parties’ commitment to the terms of the proposal once it is agreed upon, and welcomes the readiness of America, Egypt and Qatar to work to ensure the continuation of negotiations until all agreements are reached.

The draft resolution rejects any attempt at demographic or territorial change in the Gaza Strip.
