The US State Department confirmed the martyrdom of Palestinian origin in the occupied West Bank by settlers a few days ago.

According to the French News Agency, the Foreign Ministry responded with a letter stating, “We can confirm the death of an American citizen in the town of Silwad in the West Bank,” and the US State Department condemned “any criminal violence committed by any party” in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Palestinian youth, Khamis Abdel -Latif Ayyad, was killed last Thursday as a result of suffocation of smoke caused by the burning of settlers homes and vehicles for citizens in the town of Silwad in the middle of the occupied West Bank.

It is noteworthy that an American of Palestinian origin, Saif Al -Din Muslat, was martyred by settlers last month, and his US foreign family demanded the investigation of the martyrdom of her son, but he did not announce any investigations in this regard.

“We do not have a higher priority than the safety of American citizens abroad,” a US State Department spokesman said, referring to any questions about the investigation to the “Israeli government.”

According to the data of the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, the settlers carried out during the first half of this year 2153 attacks.

Parallel to the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and the settlers had attacked their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, killing at least 1012 Palestinians, and wounding about 7,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 18 thousand and 500 people, according to official Palestinian data.
