US Justice Minister Bam Bondi has announced a $ 50 million prize for information to arrest the current Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro.
This is the latest American escalation against the Caracas government, as the bonus offered in exchange for providing information to the arrest of Maduro $ 25 million.
Bondi said that Maduro poses a threat to American national security, and revealed that Washington had confiscated more than $ 700 million of assets associated with Maduro, including two planes and 9 vehicles.
The US minister, Maduro, described as one of the largest drug dealers in the world and his terrorist era continues, stressing that he will not escape justice and will be held accountable for his “sordid crimes.”
Bondi said, in a video posted on the “X” platform, that Maduro “is cooperating with criminal groups”, including the Venezuelan Tree de Aragoa network and the Mexican gang, accusing him of being involved in drug smuggling and organized crime activities.

This measure comes in the context of extending tension between the United States and Venezuela for years, as Washington accuses Maduro of corruption, violation of human rights and opposition suppression, while Caracas says that US sanctions are a “economic war” aimed at bringing down its government.
In 2020, the US State Department allocated a preliminary bonus of $ 15 million to catch in Maduro, as part of a drug smuggling case raised against him, before subsequently raised it to $ 25 million, up to the current number that is the highest in the history of American prosecutions of a head of state at the head of power.
Venezuela, rich in oil, is witnessing a suffocating economic and political crisis for years, which led to the displacement of millions of citizens, amid the continued American and international sanctions imposed on the Maduro regime.
