War in Ukraine: Moscow shells southern Donetsk region


Russia has in recent hours intensified its strikes against areas under Ukrainian control in the southern region of Donetsk.

As the Ukrainian president finishes a new European tour in Europe during which several countries signed defense agreements with him providing for new deliveries of weapons and combat aircraft, Russia is maintaining the pressure.

The Russian army shelled the south of the Donetsk region under Ukrainian control.

During the last 48 hours, at least two people died in a bombing on a residential area of ​​Selydove.

Ukraine’s emergency services said the victims included a 13-year-old boy, whose body was found under the rubble, and a 53-year-old man.

In the same region, Russian forces also struck the village of Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka.

Seven people were injured and more than a hundred houses were damaged.

The village is about 12 kilometers from Kramatorsk, one of the key Donetsk towns still in Ukrainian hands.

Russia allegedly carried out this strike with high-explosive aerial bombs.

The same weapons were allegedly used in the Bery Slavs Kyi district of Kherson, where three people were killed and several others injuredincluding French volunteers.

Local authorities say Russia is deliberately terrorizing the population. They also added that energy facilities continue to be targeted.
