Traveling to Kyiv, British Affairs Minister David Cameron confirmed on Thursday additional aid of 584 million euros to Ukraine. In total, London undertakes to pay some 3.5 billion euros per year as well as the supply of new ammunition.

This commitment will soon be sealed as part of a vast partnership agreement between the two countries. Last January, Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister, declared that this agreement was “designed to last 100 years or more”.

London is certainly considering a defense and security partnership, but also for trade, investment and culture.

On Thursday, the head of diplomacy also announced the United Kingdom’s intention to bring together its partners next month to raise funds to meet Ukraine’s military needs.

By then, the UK has committed to delivering precision-guided bombs, air defense missiles and equipment for 100 mobile air defense teams to enable Ukraine to shoot down Russian drones and missiles , according to British diplomacy.

The International Fund for Ukraine (IFU, administered by the United Kingdom) was established in 2022 with Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Lithuania, with contributions from Iceland, Australia and New Zealand. This fund has already made it possible to raise £900 million in pledges.
