While the world has its eyes fixed on the conflict in the Middle East, Vladimir Putin is trying more than ever to unite an axis of non-aligned countries around Moscow. Failing to mention the role played by the United States alongside Qatar in the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, he called, during a virtual summit, for the BRICS and their new Middle Eastern members to play a role in the negotiation. Would Vladimir Putin shed his pariah role thanks to the war in Gaza?
