President Volodymyr Zelensky continued his tour of the Baltic countries on Thursday, with the arrival of the Ukrainian delegation in Riga, Latvia.

The head of state warned against freezing the fighting front in his country: the Kremlin must not take advantage of this “stagnation” to prepare a new major offensive, insisted Volodymyr Zelensky.

He also criticized the slow process of Ukraine’s rapprochement with NATO: “Every small step against Ukraine’s membership in NATO shows that someone is afraid of Russia, believes the president. You shouldn’t do it. This would be a serious error because the ambitions of the Russian president would be increased.”

Kyiv took advantage of this visit to Latvia to sign a technical and financial cooperation agreement with Riga.

The search for additional aid is vital for Ukraine, since the United States suspended its military assistance.

A report published by Washington estimates that the Pentagon “did not follow correctly“the equipment sent to Kyiv.

During Ukraine’s visit to Estonia on Wednesday, Estonian President Alar Karis said he supports the use of Western weapons to strike military targets in Russia…

Former Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev warns that this type of strike could justify the use of nuclear weapons by Moscow.
