Vlodymyr Zelenskyy went to the front line on Monday, in the Kupiansk region. A front line on which the situation proves to be “extremely difficult” in several points, recognized the Head of State, who deplores the “erosion of solidarity” towards his country.

The Ukrainian army, which must face a lack of artillery, remains dependent on the decision of Washington, where Congress is still blocking the granting of additional aid.

A situation which allows the Russian army to make advances on the ground, such as in Avdiivka, in the Donetsk region, where the Ukrainian forces ended up withdrawing after four months of siege. A significant step forward for Moscow since the capture of Bakhmut last May.

Moscow did not fail to broadcast images from the Ministry of Defense, showing its troops retaking the city. State television also displays this spoils of war and the soldiers who are now carrying out mine clearance operations, fearing the presence of booby traps in the ruins. Images which take on a particular dimension a few days before a symbolic date: that of February 24, which marks two years since the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army.

This Monday, Canada announced the sending of 800 drones to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package, the total amount of which amounts to more than 340 million euros.
