For the fourth consecutive day, the large-scale Israeli military operation continued in the northern occupied West Bank, especially in Jenin, while the resistance factions confronted the incursion of the occupation forces, stressing that they “prepared themselves for long days of confrontation and engagement.”

In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that violent clashes were taking place between the occupation forces and the resistance factions in the city and its camp. Israeli media sources also reported that an Israeli soldier was killed and others were injured in battles in the Al-Jabariyat neighborhood in the city of Jenin.

Images circulated on Saturday showed a number of soldiers transporting an injured soldier from inside the Al-Damj neighborhood in Jenin. Images also showed helicopters landing at the Al-Jalameh military checkpoint, north of the city, which sources suggested were to transport injured soldiers.

A helicopter also landed at Rambam Hospital in the coastal city of Haifa, western Israel, after transporting wounded occupation soldiers during clashes in Jenin camp.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces set fire to parts of the Al-Hisba vegetable market in Jenin, as their operation in the area continues.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its crews reached the bodies of two martyrs in Jenin camp, but the occupation prevented the paramedics from transporting them after requesting that three times, and also ordered the paramedics to leave the place.

While clashes escalated in several neighborhoods in Jenin camp amid the flying of military helicopters, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces sent military reinforcements and troop carriers to the center of Jenin city and the eastern neighborhood.

Israeli media confirmed that there is a difficult battle taking place between the army and the resistance factions in Jenin. It added that the resistance used shoulder-fired missiles in the fighting – for the first time.

The resistance threatens

In this context, a leading source in the Al-Qassam Brigades told Tel Aviv Tribune, “What the mujahideen carried out in the Al-Damj neighborhood is a message to the enemy that the continuation of its aggression against Jenin will have very harsh consequences for its soldiers and vehicles.”

The official added that the resistance situation in the West Bank is at its best stage of coordination and integration between the resistance factions in all their formations, noting that the Qassam Brigades and the resistance factions have prepared themselves for long days of confrontation and clashes.

The leader added that the resistance fighters redistributed their combat units in the northern West Bank, in order to thwart the Israeli military operation.

car bombing

The Israeli army radio reported that the commander of the regional brigade, who holds the rank of colonel, was injured, along with another soldier, by Israeli soldiers’ bullets while dealing with the perpetrator of a car bombing in the Gush Etzion settlement, south of Bethlehem.

An Israeli army statement said that a vehicle exploded at a gas station at the Gush Etzion Junction, and army forces rushed to the scene and shot a Palestinian youth who got out of the vehicle and tried to attack the forces.

The army statement also confirmed that a third Israeli was injured in another attack at the settlement of “Karmei Tzur”, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank, where a car arrived at the entrance to the settlement and its driver tried to run over a security guard, and the army forces shot and killed him.

The army confirmed that it is not possible at this stage to confirm whether there is a connection between the two events. Palestinian platforms published scenes documenting the deployment of occupation snipers on the roof of a building in the Abu Rumman area in the city of Hebron, and other scenes show part of the occupation forces storming the city.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the occupation forces arrested two Palestinians there. The Palestinian Prisoners Club also reported that the occupation forces arrested 22 Palestinians from across the West Bank since yesterday, Friday, bringing the number of detainees since October 7 to more than 10,300 Palestinians.

For its part, the Israeli occupation army admitted today, Saturday, to killing 26 Palestinians and arresting about 30 others, since the start of the military operation in the West Bank 4 days ago.

Last Wednesday morning, the Israeli army launched a military operation in cities in the northern West Bank, which it said was the largest since Operation Defensive Shield in 2002, as large forces stormed the cities of Jenin and Tulkarm and their camps.

The occupation army also stormed the Far’a camp near Tubas, before withdrawing from the Far’a camp at dawn on Thursday, and from Tulkarm on the same evening, while the operation is still continuing in Jenin for the fourth day.
