The authorities, together with the Railway Inspectorate, are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
The police suspect that others were endangered. A breathalyzer test revealed the presence of alcohol in one of the drivers, who is currently undergoing further medical examinations. The other driver was still in training at the time of the accident.
The accident temporarily disrupted services on a major rail route between the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
