A fire hit the roof of the town hall of the 12ᵉ arrondissement of Paris, damaging its bell tower. 150 firefighters mastered the flames.
This Monday, January 27, early in the morning, a fire broke out on the roof of the town hall of the 12ᵉ arrondissement of Paris.
Its iconic 36 -meter bell tower is seriously damaged.
About 150 firefighters have extinguished the flames, and no victim is to be deplored.
The authorities warned against a potential risk of collapse of the upper bell tower. A security perimeter has been established and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
Public services were temporarily relocated in the town hall of the 11ᵉ arrondissement.
