Video. The Grinch Who Didn’t Steal Christmas, But Busted Drug Dealers

The Peruvian National Police’s “Green Squadron” arrested suspected drug traffickers over the weekend, as part of a new operation over the Christmas period.

An officer of this special unit, also known as Grupo Terna, disguised as the “Grinch”, a grumpy character whose mission is to steal Christmas, broke down the door of a house where suspected drug dealers were located on Friday .

A video released by police shows the Grinch in a Santa costume searching the house and finding money and drugs.

According to Colonel Carlos Lopez Aedo, head of the police’s Green Squad, the Grinch had participated in traditional Christmas activities before the police operation, so the police presence in the neighborhood went unnoticed.

Authorities said they seized packages of cocaine hydrochloride and cocaine paste, as well as precision instruments such as scales and strainers.

“I hate Christmas and criminals,” said a dancing Grinch.
