The Thai Senate adopted a law on Tuesday authorizing same-sex marriage. The text should come into force by the end of the year.

Members of the LGBTQ+ community celebrated the adoption of the law at a party at government headquarters in Bangkok.

Manicured lawns, normally manicured for visiting leaders and heads of state, hosted painting booths, photo booths, balloons and ribbons, and national anthems were replaced by thunderous dance music.
